One would think that Apple might have checked that their new, extra smug (but undeniably funny) ads don't crash their own software before putting them up on the web, but apparently not...

I nearly posted about these myself, from a less techie perspective ie clearly Mark > Jez and thus they are actually PC ads.

When I first saw the posters, that was exactly what I thought. But the roles they play in the online ads are *just* out of character enough to work.

And appropriately enough, on BBC coverage of the Vista launch, the PC expert quoted is one David Mitchell. ""Part of the appetite is 'something new for something new's sake'," said Mr Mitchell" (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6309651.stm) in a disapproving manner worthy of his namesake.
